What is IC certification?
IC is the abbreviation of Industry Canada. IC certification (also known as ISED certification) is the compulsory certification of wireless products entering Canada. The IC standard of the Canadian industry is the supervision and approval of wireless product certification by the Canadian Authority. Canadian Industry Corporation now has a new name innovation, science and economic development of Canada (ISED). Therefore, IC certification is also called ISED certification.
Is the FCC certification good for Canada?
If your product has obtained FCC certification, it is not enough to meet the approval requirements of Canada. You must get the IC certification of the product.
However, the FCC test data may be reused to generate IC test reports, so there is no need to repeat the test. This is why we always recommend FCC and IC tests at the same time to save costs.
